Norwegian Mittens question

Hello y'all -- I'm planning to make a pair of EZ's Norwegian mittens sometime soon. (But not until the Christmas crafting is done, as they're for a birthday in January.) I've seen folks making the ones from Knitting Around as well as Knitter's Almanac. Have any of you done both? Even if not, any insights on differences between them?

Thanks!

  • I haven't made both, but I've seen Yarnmonster Jess' in person. From what I can tell the structure of the mittens is precisely the same - it's only the motifs that differ. Good luck!

  • The biggest difference is that the directions in Knitting Around stop -- literally, she doesn't tell you how to finish the top of the mittens. I had both on my shelf and checked the Knitter's Almanac to confirm that what I THOUGHT EZ wanted to do was in fact what she writes in the Alamanac. They have slightly different charts, but otherwise are identical....
